Introducing Our Partners

Exploring Lincoln on foot offers a rich tapestry of history, culture, and culinary delights. The Lincoln Free Walking Tour, held every Saturday from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm, provides an insightful journey through the city's storied past, covering landmarks such as the Cathedral, Lincoln Castle, Steep Hill, and the Roman walls.

Enhancing this experience, several local establishments have partnered with the tour to offer participants special discounts and promotions. Here are some of the notable partners:

1. The Horse & Groom Pub

Located just a short distance from the city centre on Carholme Road, The Horse & Groom is a traditional pub known for its hearty British cuisine and selection of real ales from local breweries. The pub has earned accolades such as the Pub of the Year at the Lincolnshire & Rutland Tourism Awards, reflecting its commitment to quality and service. We recommend a stroll along the Brayford Pool to the pub, followed by a fantastic roast dinner – booking is strongly recommended.

2. BeerHeadZ Craft Beer Bar

Situated near the cathedral a short walk up Steep Hill, BeerHeadZ offers an impressive selection of craft beers from microbreweries across the UK. The bar's modern and relaxed atmosphere, coupled with knowledgeable staff, makes it a favourite among locals and visitors alike. It also features on our Pub Tour.

3. Slow Rise Pizza

For pizza enthusiasts, Slow Rise Pizza provides a delightful experience with its selection of vegan and vegetarian options. The intimate setting and friendly staff add to the charm, making it a popular spot for both dine-in and takeaway. Due to its popularity, booking in advance is recommended. Slow Rise is located close to the bottom of Steep Hill and we can highly recommend their home-made tiramisu!

4. Stokes Coffee

Stokes Coffee, established in 1902, boasts multiple locations in Lincoln, including The Lawn Café and High Bridge Café (a beautiful building from 1640 located on a medieval bridge). Renowned for its quality coffee, homemade cakes, and a variety of breakfast and lunch options, Stokes offers a warm and inviting atmosphere. You can book in for a coffee roastery tour, delightful afternoon tea or try Lincolnshire’s famous plum bread and poacher cheese.

These partnerships enrich the Lincoln Free Walking Tour experience, allowing participants to delve deeper into the city's vibrant culinary scene while exploring its historical landmarks. Be sure to present your tour confirmation at these establishments to enjoy the exclusive deals they offer.
